The fastest way to reach us is by email. We read every message and aim to reply within one business day.
You can also reach us from inside the app at any time: tap More → Contact Support, which opens an email to our support team.
Account & sign in
- Create an account: Download Book Keeps, open the app, and follow the guided onboarding to set up your business.
- Forgot your password: On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password" and we'll email you a reset link.
- Change your details: Go to More → Settings to update your business profile, jurisdiction (Australia or United Kingdom), and preferences.
Subscriptions & billing
Book Keeps offers an auto-renewing Pro subscription (monthly or annual). Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store account.
- Upgrade to Pro: In the app, tap More → Plans & Pricing → Upgrade and choose monthly or annual.
- Prices: The exact price and billing period are shown on the upgrade screen before you confirm, in your local currency.
- Manage or cancel: Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, choose Book Keeps, and you can change or cancel there. Your Pro features continue until the end of the paid period.
- Restore a purchase: If you've subscribed but don't see Pro features, tap More → Plans & Pricing → Restore Purchases.
- Refunds: Purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Using the app
- Scan receipts: Open the Receipts tab and tap the "+" button to photograph or upload a receipt. Book Keeps reads the amount, supplier, and date automatically.
- Categorise transactions: Use the Inbox tab to review and categorise new transactions.
- Import your history: You can bring transactions across from Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Rounded, or a bank CSV via the guided import in Settings.
- BAS & VAT: Use More → Reports for the BAS Walkthrough (Australia) or VAT Return (United Kingdom).
- AI Assistant: Tap More → Assistant to ask questions about your finances in plain English.
